GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 Heart of Compassion: Bringing Hope and Healing to Cancer Patients By: TLP Ghie Escander In keeping with her advocacy of extending compassion, hope, and assistance to cancer patients and their families, TLP Ghie Escander personally visited a cancer patient to offer much-needed support during a challenging time. During the visit, TLP Ghie provided financial assistance and essential medical supplies to help ease some of the patient’s medical and daily needs. More than the material assistance, her presence brought encouragement and a heartfelt reminder to the patient and family that they are not alone in their journey. TLP Ghie’s continued commitment to helping cancer patients reflects her genuine concern for individuals facing the physical, emotional, and financial challenges brought about by cancer. Through simple acts of kindness and meaningful assistance, she continues to promote an advocacy centered on compassion, hope, and solidarity with cancer patients and their families. Her visit is a testament that helping others does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, a helping hand, a caring heart, and the willingness to be present can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. TLP Ghie Escander remains committed to her advocacy in supporting cancer patients—bringing not only assistance, but also hope, comfort, and encouragement to those who need it most.
